Which insects is BioBarrier™ used against?
According to the label: bed bugs (Cimex lectularius), cockroaches (Blattella germanica, Blatta orientalis), mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti), house flies (Musca domestica) and ants (Lasius niger).
How do I dilute it?
For bed bugs: undiluted (1:0), 30 g/m². For cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies and ants: 1:4 (1 part product + 4 parts water), 130 g/m² working solution, about 26 g/m² product. Calculate the amounts for your area.
Can it be applied on a mattress?
Yes. The label lists mattresses and their lower seams among the treated surfaces. For bed bugs: undiluted, 30 g/m², spot spraying on harbourage areas. Let dry naturally and ventilate well after application.
How long does it take to dry?
The label says to let the surface dry naturally, without wiping, and to ventilate the room well. Drying time depends on the surface and on ventilation.
Does it have a smell?
The formula includes geraniol and cedarwood essential oil 2%. Either way, the label says: avoid breathing the spray and ventilate the room well after application.
I have children and pets at home. What should I know?
The label states: keep out of reach of children, do not apply directly on animals, avoid breathing the spray and ventilate the room well after application. Keep the bottle tightly closed. If you have questions about your situation, write to us before applying.
How far does a 750 ml bottle go?
At the label doses, one bottle covers about 25 m² per application for bed bugs (undiluted) and about 28 m² for cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies and ants (diluted 1:4). See the calculator.
Can I use it in the kitchen?
Yes, on travel paths, corners, skirting boards and joints. It must not be applied on surfaces that come into contact with food (preparation worktops, dishes, containers).
Does it keep insects away, like a repellent?
No. The label states that the product controls insects by contact and has no repellent effect. That is why it is sprayed directly on harbourage areas and on the insects' travel paths.
